The resort was very pretty and peaceful. Surrounded by mountains and gorgeous scenery, it was a perfect place to stay for a ski vacation at Mammoth.
Seeing dog poop on sparkling white snow around the property was a little gross. Also, the spa was wonderful however in the bitter winter cold the indoor swimming pool could stand to be a couple degrees warmer.

It's exceptionally comfortable and fabulous place for relaxing break!!!
Very amiable personnel is in a very timely manner by staff. It has peaceful and exceptionally nice location, just next door to Mammoth Lakes as well as the restaurant in the black with solid, moderately priced and delicious food.

The pool area was lovely and the location was upscale and spectacular, close enough to a creek and mountains, lakes and hiking opportunities. I often went to Pret a Manger to pick up some food...
The setting was inconvenient.

We had an awesome group vacation with our friends! The hiking trails, like the Fern Lake trail, were nearby, and the scenic views. We enjoyed dining at the restaurant on site and relaxing near the pond. The location is perfect for exploring and relaxing by the lake. The atmosphere was really chill and perfect for our getaway.
The spa was a bit of a letdown, as it didn't allow kids in the locker area and felt very dark and cramped.

Nice getaway with some quirks
The fishing pond was beautiful, and we loved hanging out on the deck. But, man, those beds were rough. I had to sleep at the foot of the king bed since it was all slanted. Be ready for some noise if there's a wedding!

We enjoyed the beautiful hiking trails around the Double Eagle Resort, especially the Rush Creek Trail which was an adventure for the whole family. The outdoor pool was a hit with the kids, great to unwind after a day filled with exciting activities in the serene surroundings.
For dads, it would be great to have more family-friendly dining options available on-site.
